is it possible to get a starbucks green tea latte unsweetened?

i love green tea but the green tea latte is too sweet for my liking. i tried asking for unsweetened, but the guy either didnt hear me or didnt care because i got the same sweetened latte. i want to make sure before i try asking again.

like someone said before me, they make it with matcha powder and melon syrup. if you want it completely unsweetened, ask them to make it with a tea BAG -no matcha, no melon. be clear, to some baristas it’s a foreign concept. tea lattes are made with half hot water and half steamed milk, because the concentrated chai syrup an matcha powders are so strong. i personally like my chai (tea bag) latte made with all milk, no water. if you’re looking for the same starbucks-style green tea latte but not as sweet, it can’t really happen. you could always try their recipe with half the matcha and just one pump of melon…ive done and liked that. you’ll have to experiment a little to see what you like best!
