For experienced coffee brewers: How many 8 oz cups of coffee can be brewed from 1lb of ground coffee beans?
I am sepcifically interested in feedback from anyone who has worked in a coffeehouse such as Starbucks, Tully’s, Peet’s. Please indicate if you have that experience. Thanks!
The Starbucks “standard” for brewing coffee is two tablespoons of ground coffee per six fluid ounces of water. Starbucks says that they is 45 cups per 1 lb bag.
But for even me, that’s waaaaay too strong. I use about one tablespoon for two cups.
So you would like 50 or so cups, depending on the amount you use.
