QUESTIONS:

1) DESCRIBE A SPECIFIC SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE PROVIDED EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN YOUR MOST RECENT POSITION. WHY WAS THIS EFFECTIVE?

2)HAVE YOU EVER VISITED A STARBUCKS COFFEE LOCATION? WHERE? DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE?

I KNOW IT MIGHT BE STUPID FOR SOME OF YOU THE QUESTIONS I NEED HELP BUT ANYTHING WOULD HELP THANKS!

!) Describe any time you helped a customer. The sort of thing they’ll love is where you worked your way out of a difficult situation or went above and beyond. If you haven’t had a job where you had customer contact, say that and then give any example you have of how you helped somebody with something, especially if it was a difficult or potentially difficult situation. In either case, then explain what worked – how you made the situation less difficult.

2) I assume that you’ve been in a Starbucks, at least to pick up the application. Tell what worked or didn’t work about the service you got, the way it was laid out, cleanliness, etc. If you’ve never paid attention to these things, go into a Starbucks before you turn in the application, pay attention to the experience, hang out for a while…

One of the things with retail is that it can be stressful. You want to give an upbeat answer to every question. That doesn’t mean that you can’t criticize, but find the learning experience, empathy, and silver lining in each. Show them that when there’s a line to the front door you will keep your cool and a positive attitude. That’s really what they want to know when they ask questions like these.
